ABOUT
A Search For Balance
I had taken the first step on a journey of self-discovery and I didn’t even know it.
Yoga was recommended to me as a means to calm and quiet the ever-present chatter going on inside my head. I walked into the yoga studio with preconceived yet unfounded notions of incense clouds, moan-like chanting, and glassy-eyed wackos. What I found was a warm and supportive community in which I could find a practice that affected me for the better – physically, emotionally, mentally, and energetically. I was hooked from class #1 and knew that I would one day teach to help others find what they were seeking. ISO Balance was born.
Since that yoga class I have discovered and re-discovered other practices and tools that help me come back to center, to come back to me. Let’s face it, there are so many demands we perceive as pushing and pulling on us each and every day. Our own needs, family, friends, pets, employment, communities/organizations, the world… It seems like there is no end in sight and it can be overwhelming. Take a deep breath and take a step back. Its ok, you’re not alone.
Do I always have my life in balance? Absolutely not! It’s something I work on every day. The world is continuously shifting around us. We can’t control the world but we can control how we work with it and in it. We have knowledge, skills, tools, and one another. I can help with yoga, reiki, meditation, personal training, and more. And if can’t help, maybe I can point in the direction of someone who can.
Am I perfect, no. That’s why I’m practicing.
In Search Of Balance,
Susan
